Elco EP-7 is a powerful electric marine propulsion system

are made to fit a standard 20 inch transom.

How long can I go without recharging?
There are various factors in determining how far you can go
before you need to recharge. Winds, tides, currents, weights,
propeller type, vessel speed and battery size are some examples.
With a generator on board running time can be extended or made
continuous. Below is a graphical representation comparing Diesel
fuel consumption for an Elco electric propulsion system using
lead-type batteries versus a diesel engine. NOTE: With Lithionics
Battery Lithium-ion batteries, the savings and ranges will be
much greater.

What size Elco Electric Marine
Motor is right for my boat?
There is some overlap between motor and boat sizes so choosing
the right size motor for you and your vessel can sometimes require
some personal expertise to make the right choice. In selecting
the correct size electric motor, some general tips are - in areas
with strong tides and currents, choose the next larger size motor,
and the same goes for weight - if your boat is heavy for its length,
choose the next size up.
Elco
Motor Yacht has also developed a robust and easy motor coupling
system to allow for twin or triple motor installations. This can
be used when a vessel exceeds 85 feet or if you need a faster
