Unfortunately our Client has had to cancel his Catamaran project so we now have two brand new, never installed Polar Power 20kW Marine DC Diesel Generators with Yanmar 3TNV88 Marine Motors available for sale.

DC Diesel Generators are by far the most efficient way to recharge battery systems (huge fuel savings over AC generators). These generators would be the perfect solution for a large yacht's house battery system or to be used in a Hybrid-Electric Marine Propulsion System using one or two 51 Volt DC marine electric motors like those offered by Elco and other marine motor manufacturers.

Please refer to the spec sheet above for details of this build. Both generators are still in the Polar Power Gardena, California Factory and can be readied for shipment immediately. Shipping within the USA is estimated at $1,000 USD and there ARE NO SALES TAXES AS THIS IS A PRIVATE SALE.

These generators have been set to run at the higher RPMs permitted for these motors to produce 20kW of DC power output and are programmed for a 51 Volt lithium-ion battery system with a charging Voltage of about 57.2 Volts DC. The generators could most likely be reprogrammed to run at slower speed with 15kW of power output if the Buyer wants to save fuel and prolong both generator life as well as service intervals. In addition, if the Buyer wants a secondary DC alternator outfitted on the generators to recharge a separate 12 or 24 Volt DC battery system, we could definitely accomodate this (at additional cost).

Included is Polar's Supra Control System and wiring harnesses, electric fuel pumps as well as prepaid Generator Commissioning by one of Polar's Engineers that will come to your work site to review the final installation, perform the testing and authorize the warranty. The site visit by one of Polar's Engineers is valued at $4,000 USD and we may be able to waive that and credit the Buyer back the $4,000 USD if the Buyer has either experience installing the Polar Generators or has expert engineers on staff that can perform the detailed commissioning. If this is the case, then one of Polar's Engineers can likely connect via remote Internet connection to confirm everything.

Valued at over $75,000 USD. Asking $61,500 USD for both (2 x 20kW Polar Generators) or $32,250 USD each if bought separately.
