2022 ELCO EP30 102.4 VOLT DC ELECTRIC OUTBOARD MOTOR/ LITHIONICS BATTERY SYSTEM BOAT PROJECT.

This electric marine project was for a small aluminum boat on the Sunshine Coast. Here, the Client wanted Pinnacle Innovations to coordinate several aspects of the project including supplying the Elco EP30 30 hoprsepower electric outboard motor, a 150 Amp hour 102.4 Volt Lithionics Battery, fabricating a custom designed aluminum battery box, ordering in a specially made custom steering console and other aspects.

We also provided the high performance Lithionics Battery lithium-ion battery system using two 75 Amp hour 102.4 Volt GT Series lithium-ion battery modules.

These connect using a parallel connect harness to the Advanced 102.4 Volt high Amp external Lithionics NeverDie Battery Management System Box.

Shown in the opening picture is the custom battery box that we designed and made that safely and securely holds these very expensive batteries. You can see the 1" wide aluminum "feet" that will actually be welded to the floor of the aluminum boat to make sure that nobody can abscond with the batteries. Also featured is a locking removal top lid with gasket with stainless steel custom clasps.

Due to the tight fit and heavy weight of the batteries we had to make sure that we designed the system so that should the batteries ever be needed to be removed for service that this would be easy.
